All Deviations

walk down this path with me.
i shall be a gentle guide
holding your hand along the way.
with wary glances cast upon
the pale-faced stranger,
you ask yourself
can he be trusted?

be not afraid;
i shall not harm you.

there are many roads
within this aged heart
that knows not the years
but has sensed the miles
of a hundred lifetimes already.
tales regaled and sorrows shared,
he paints you a picture
of loves lost
battles won
the solitary status of
his jaded soul.
the one he loves
above all others.
the temptation he harbors
above all others.
and the dualistic mind;
the sinner mixed with saint.
the devil mixed with hero.
torn asunder into two
forged together into one.
he has two names
but one identity.
one calling
one desire
one all-consuming lust
that explains what he is
the moment you catch
that wicked glint within
his ethereal eyes.

be not afraid, though;
i shall not harm you.

walk down this path with me
and perhaps we shall form
beauty from sadness
order from chaos.
perhaps this twisted soul
will make more sense
on the other side of the road.
take my hand
and i shall guide you,
as careful as a lover.
an immortal poet
trapped within
the stillness of the night.

Well said, Peter. If it does take a while, it will be worth the journey. It is, after all, not the destination which in the end has substance, but all the things passed along the way.

It sha'n't be a sojourn for you, Friend Sanguinarian, Herioc Evil, Saintly Sinner. No, you'll have many companions alongside, and I -- I shall be among them.

Take care Peter. Find respite for heart and mind and know you've a friend in me. Best to Robin.

I can't wait to see this rest, if this is what you can come up with just on the theme of 'Introduction' ^_^ We've missed your work.

It is good to be missed. It implies one is cared for. :)
Thank you, my dear.

Thank you, my dear. :) It should prove to be a fun exercise. Or, so I hope.

Dearest Peter, this was amazing. I'm not one for poetry but yours grabs me and tells a story. I can't wait for the other 99, I would love to walk with you. ^^

Maybe I can get Seleane to do a 100 theme something when she's done with current work. It could be of my life. That would be rather intriguing for all parties involved.
