i take a breath inhaling deeper than i ever have before. scents which make their way through senses dulled. revitalizing me illuminating a hazy consciousness. flowing through the passages into the depths of my soul. absorbed into the system, expelled as a wistful sigh. the mind conjures thoughts of who i am, who i will be, what to think and how to feel. unashamed, i am. i take a breath and feel the steady cadence of my heart. living within hope, rising to the forefront at last. |

 it has been a while, has it not? i have a few random poems lying about i have composed recently. sharing them in case any of you wished to see. this one emerged after a bout of haiku penning and while they are not haiku themselves, the tenor was fairly different from my normal style.  |
